The family were originally from Worcester and it seems that the family returned there again at some time during Thomas’ formative years. It was there in 1872 that Thomas married Ellen Cook at the Angel St. Congregational Church. Thomas was a bookbinder, eventually a Master bookbinder.
In 1881 they were still in Worcester living in Little Angel Street, listed then as an account book manufacturer.
Thomas and Ellen had eight children, Samuel (1872-1873), Frederick (1874-after 1891), Frank (our ancestor), Katherine (1879), Katie (1884-after 1901), Ellen (1886-after 1901), Alec (1890-after 1901) and Albert (1893-after 1901)
