Thomas Edgington, the China Maker

Thomas Edgington (alias Edginton)
He was aged 63 on the 1851 census implying that he was born around 1787-1788, born in Worcester.

The only candidate I’ve come across is the one baptised at St.Michael Bedwardine in Worcester in 1787, the son of Richard Edgington & Elizabeth.

Thomas Edgington married Mary Harris in Hallow, Worcester, in 1832. On his son’s marriage certificate and again on the 1851 census he is shown as a china maker and presumably worked at the famous Worcester Pottery Works.

Thomas & Mary had two children, Thomas (our ancestor) and Elizabeth (1832). Nothing is known about what happened to Elizabeth.
